Oscars Red Carpet Fashion 2015

So my favourite dress of the Oscars 2015 is easily Glorious Givenchy for Rosamund Pike. I love the detailing, the silhouette, the colour and the leg split is spot-on. Brilliant!
Anna Kendrick came out early on the red carpet all guns blazing in Thakoon. It's great.
This is lovely by Kiera Knightley in Valentino Couture. Wonderful hair.
Marvellous Lupita Nyong'o in Calvin Klein was a real highlight with fantastic pearl detailing. There should be more couture at the Oscars if it wants to keep up with the Met Ball.
Best hair and make-up go to Jessica Chastain in Givenchy. Splendid.
Zendaya has quickly ditched the short haircut she debuted recently. I like this look as it's chic and fun.
Chloe Moretz's Miu Miu dress would have been better in a slinky body-con vibe. She looks fab though with wonderful hair.
J Lo you nailed the fairytale look in Elie Saab!
Scarlett Johansson in Atelier Versace had a great dramatic vibe. A fresh colour too.
Jamie Yeung in Yanina Couture has excellent detailing with just an extra luxe vibe needed with the materials used.
Tres elegant Mr Cumberbatch with Sophie Hunter in Lanvin.
David Oyelowo and Michael Keaton. Selma is the better movie I'm afraid Michael. I found it so powerful and moving.
Rita Ora in a Marchesa dress made from some dodgy heavy looking material more suited for tyres or something.
Grimmer than the Woman In Black. Sienna Miller in Oscar de la Renta
Margot Robbie looked great but the Saint Laurent dress loses appeal the lower your eyes travel. It's messy at the bottom maaaan!

Skin Tone Issues
The three following stars have wonderful skin but it's a sin to pick a colour that washes you out. There is zero pop with these colours.
Emma Stone in Elie Saab. It's too late for the Great Gatsby vibe Emma and that movie is no classic anyway.
Julianne Moore in Chanel. Preferred her Baftas 70s style.
Jennifer Aniston in Versace. Bland I'm afraid.
Superb hair Solange but there is way too much going on here. Christian Sirano needs to simplify!

TV's Worst Accessory Of The Weeeeeeek
Lady Gaga in Azzedine Alaia. I can always use a really good dish-washer!
More H&M £3 sale than Tiffany my dear Cate. Normally you're the leader of the fash pack.

The next two resemble bridesmaid dresses too much for me. A bland material methinks.
Zoe Saldana in Atelier Versace
Kerry Washington in Miu Miu
Chrissy Tiegen is almost literally showing all her curves and edges. Prefer more demure looks.

Safe
The okay but forgettable brigade.
Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford
Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent is not exactly risque.

Finally
Forget Felicity Jones in bland femine Alexander McQueen and remember when Lee's brand was full of power and passion

Baftas 2015 Red Carpet Fashion & EE pre-Bafta Party

The Baftas really disapointed fashion wise this year. Too safe, too unoriginal. As you will see later in the blog it was the pre-Bafta party that was fashion heaven. They should televise that instead!
Lea Seydoux really wowed in Prada at the Baftas. Brilliant colour and design with even the trail rocking it.

Reese looked vibrant in Stella McCartney.
Not my cup of tea but it's different and highly stylised and that gets respect. Tom Ford for Julianne.
I'm not a fan of Jennfier Lawrence wearing Dior dresses that are too old and boring for her. Felicity Jones follows her in dressing older and does Conservative with a capital C.
Dianna Agron in Lanvin is another example.
Jumpsuits are freshening things up at glam events but this is a real mismatch of ideas on Naomi Rapace.
Nimrat Kaur's dress is sweet.
Sarah Jane Crawford's gown has a nice look too.

EE pre-Bafta Party
This party beats the Bafta red carpet by miles, it's far more interesting for fashion.
Natalie Dormer in Roksanda
Emily Ratajkowski in Cushnie Et Ochs.
A class look by Laura Whitmore
The next 3 looks are the kind of youthful style J Law and Felicity should draw from.
Lara Mullen
Ella Catliff
Lilah Parsons
Andrea Riseborough's Christopher Kane dress is kwl.
Stacy Martin was pitch perfect.
Zara Martin goes glam with ease.

Finally
Keep this for the cigar club Douglas dear boy.

Tommy Hilfiger S/S 2015

This is the first Tommy Hilfiger collection to make me go wow! Normally I associate the brand with the same boring repetitive ads in the glossies. You know the ones, group photo, lots of red, white and blue clothes and oceans of blonde hair!
This is a Grease 'Sandy moment' of youthful spirit and hip clothes.
The leather looks give Wang a run for his money.

Grab a festival look with these three looks in particular.
Lose the hat though Malaika.
Love this dress.
Go grunge with Ondria.
Fantastic maxis. One of Kendall Jenner's best catwalk moments.

Statement beachwear.

Finally
Swim deep in this vibe Tommy!
