It's just under two months until Mapei releases her debut album Hey Hey.
She first released a song in 2009 and then spent the next few years searching for deeper inspiration switching between Brooklyn and Stockholm before heading to Brazil and Peru to really fire up her creativity.
It clearly worked as you have probably already heard hit tune 'Don't Wait'.
Mapei's influences include Missy Elliot, Irene Cara and Michael Jackson.
Her sound is a swirl of Soul, R&B, Hip-hop and Pop.
