Jean Paul Gaultier's s/s 2013 collection was as they described it
"An homage to all the pop stars of the 80s."
Shena Moulton
With the Grace Jackson look out first it started with traditionally Gaultier colours and tailoring and then got crazier with each pop star that followed.
Raquel as MJ
No one would tell you to 'beat it' in this look. The cut of the jacket rocks. The Annie Lennox looks included pinstripes and loud prints.
Hannelore Knuts as Annie Lennox
Madonna's look was more relevant to today's fashion.
Style.com reviewed that the Boy George and Bowie looks took the collection away from fashion now and into fancy dress territory.
Franzi Mueller as David Bowie
Personally we loved the Boy George looks and it got extensive coverage in the press. The maxi dress is cool.
Maria Kashleva as Boy George
Nothing fancy dress about Joan Smalls working the Sade look.
Sweet shoes.

We have loved both this collection and Jean's a/w show. We think he's a renaissance man doing great things.
I'm actually loving this! Jean Paul Gaultier doesn't disappoint :)
ReplyDeleteI'm following you! Have an amazing week!!

Hi Narzipan,
ReplyDeleteLove this piece! Who doesn't love the 80's! Adore these picture's, the Madonna and David Bowie looks really can find their place within our contemporary setting!
What I wouldn't give to have been at that show

Heya Tasha,
Delete80s fashion is serious fun! Gaultier is doing great at reinventing himself for more modern times. Calvin Klein should do the same. Like your website btw x
